Pat Black is a writer, journalist and small fluffy creature. He’ll be in among you from now on.

He’s got an anthology of short stories out, called Suckerpunch. You can buy it here, or if you’re in the United States, here.

It has more than 30 stories in it, and really doesn’t cost you very much at all. Some of them have been shortlisted for awards and things, for what it’s worth.

If you fancy trying before you buy, some of his work is on http://www.mcstorytellers.com

He has written a lot of book reviews for http://www.booksquawk.com. Some of these are collected in the book Paper Cuts, available here and here.

  1. Hi,
I saw your link to your site on the Authonomy thread ‘bloggers in search of followers’. Just wanted to let you know I’ve added you to my list of links on my personal site, http://www.lucyleid.com. I also run http://www.questforthepress.com

    All the best. šŸ™‚

  2. Dear Pat,

I came across your novel, Snarl, on the authonomy site and I was interested in reading more. I run a small print publisher and wanted to invite you to submit. Of course, some people want to wait for Harper Collins and I can understand that if this is you.

    Cheers,
    Sean Samborski

  3. Pat,

I hope that you’ll sign my copy of Snarl once I get my hands on it.

    Best,

    Rob

  4. I’ve just discovered that this man has called me a ‘comic genius’ on an Authonomy Forum. As a writer of serious, insightful, bullshit I am insulted.

    • Dear Gurmeet – goodness me I’ve got the wrong end of the stick! Here was me thinking you were funny!

  5. Hi Pat
I’ve just seen your novel on Authonomy, read the first few lines and realised it seemed very familiar! Were you on the Blaze online writing course 2007? I was there too. Good to see you’ve finished the novel… best of luck with it!
I’ve finished one, too,(different to the Blaze one) and will prob have a go at putting it on Authonomy soonish.
Looking forward to reading the rest of yours…

    Cheers
    Jo

    • Howdy Jo! Yes it’s me (in disguise!), how are you? I haven’t spoken to the rest of the gang on Blaze for a while, do you keep in touch with them?

Authonomy can be a funny place at times, but I’ve enjoyed having the book up on there. It took me yonks to finish it, and it’s gone pretty much nowhere, but hey ho… Let me know when you put your book on there, be great to see you there.

      P
